44th Annual CATA Technical Conference

Mauritius hosted the 44th Commonwealth Association of Tax Administrators (CATA) Technical Conference between October 21–25, bringing together tax professionals and policymakers from across the Commonwealth. The event features the theme “Reshaping the Tax Administration in a Dynamic Landscape”, reflecting the need for modern tax systems to adapt to evolving global challenges.

Dr. Titilola Akindeinde moderated a panel on promoting good tax governance and cooperation. The discussion covered a wide range of topics, including setting up a tax governance framework for large taxpayers, designing compliance assistance programmes for small taxpayers, and engaging with businesses on tax governance standards.
