On July 31, 2025, LoGRI participated in a webinar on “Innovations in digital public financial management (PFM)”. Hosted by Microsave Consulting (MSC), a global consulting firm working towards meaningful financial and socioeconomic inclusion, the webinar highlighted how governments in lower-income countries can leverage digital technologies to mobilize unlock revenue and improve local service delivery.
Within the webinar, LoGRI’s Program Director, Moyo Arewa, and Technical Lead, Evan Trowbridge, held a presentation titled “What do We Know about Digital Property Tax Reforms? Insights from Reform Experiences”.
The presentation explored the promise and often unrealized potential of digital solutions for domestic revenue mobilization, before outlining key principles for successful IT-based reform. Drawing on LoGRI’s work in Sierra Leone, the presentation also emphasized the value of open-platform systems for lower-capacity property tax administrations.
