LoGRI’s unique approach to IT and digital development rests on providing enhanced market information to governments and supporting the development of agile IT systems that are sensitive to the local context. To improve government access to information, LoGRI is developing technical notes to facilitate effective procurement and a framework to assess IT systems based on their functionality, cost, long-term support, and sustainability. In doing so, governments can make informed decisions about investing in open-source or traditional commercial platforms. LoGRI also works directly with IT providers and local governments to develop improved market offerings for locally-led, affordable, and customizable open-source and off-the-shelf solutions.
