Sripriya Iyengar Srivatsa is a Policy Economist at the Cities that Work Initiative of the International Growth Centre (IGC). The initiative aims to bridge the gap between economic research and policymaking in developing countries by generating and translating robust evidence into clear urban policy guidance and strategy. Prior to joining the IGC, she was a Doctoral Fellow at the International Centre for Tax and Development and the Local Government Revenue Initiative. She has submitted her PhD to the Department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Cambridge and holds a Master’s degree in Political Economy of Development from SOAS, University of London. She was an ODI Fellow posted at the Ministry of Finance, Sierra Leone from 2019-2021.
